The first-aid basics items

Gauze Pads (adherent and non-adherent) to clean and dress weeping wounds or burns. Be warned: adherent pads may stuck to a weeping wound.

Elastolite Bandages to hold dressings in place. You may need some tape.

3M Micropore Surgical Tapeto hold dressings in place. There is one to suit everbody in different sizes and varieties from hypoallergenic to waterproof.

Plasters to dress small wounds and cuts. Buy fun plasters for the kids.

Cotton Buds and Cotton Balls to apply disinfectant or antiseptic to the affected areas.

Dressing Forceps for removal of foreign bodies in and around the wound area.

Latex Gloves to prevent contamination of wounds and protect the first-aider. Dispose immediately after use and replace.

Scissors to cut bandages ans dressings.

Triangular Bandageto support lower arm injury ot to prevent pain from chest or shoulder injuries.

Easifix Elastic Bandages to immobilise and support joints.

All the above items are easily obtain from pharmacy. Do take note on the expiry date of the items.
